Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, this role will provide security subject matter expertise to reduce and prevent identified risks that impact business objectives. This role will be the Security advocate for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct physical security risk assessments of all Business Units and advise Leaders on appropriate security protocols and controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Assist with the development of security awareness and training programs and conduct presentations.
• Participate in due diligence activities and perform annual security audits of vendors to ensure their compliance to contractual security related obligations, and report findings to Executives.
• Conduct internal investigations as it relates to criminal behaviour or procedural compliance, including detailed reports and recommendations

• College Diploma/University Degree and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years’ experience conducting investigations for fraud, theft, workplace violence, etc.
• Completion of a recognized interview and interrogation course
• Industry certification/designation CPP (ASIS), PCI (ASIS), CFE (ACFE), or CFCI (IAFCI) plus (PSP) an asset
• Completion of a recognized Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design course (CPTED)
• Demonstrated experience in International security trends and loss prevention strategies
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong technical writing skills – an asset
• Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
• Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
• Flexibility to travel across Canada
• Must have a valid passport and be eligible to travel to the United States and India
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Level II (Secret) Security Clearance with the Government of Canada
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have a reliable vehicle for transportation locally
• Flexibility to work weekdays, possible evenings and weekends, as well as on-call
